Onions Export - Additional One Lakh M. T. Allowed upto Oct 2000In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the
Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.2000), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.2000).
The following additions shall be made against the entry at ITC (HS) Code No. 0703(1) relating to onions of all varieties (other than Bangalore Rose onion and Krishnapuram onions) under the column, ' nature of restriction' in ITC (HS) Classification of Import and Export items 1997-2002 incorporating amendments made upto 31st August, 1998'in Schedule 2,
Table B in continuation of
Notification No.30 (RE-2000)/1997-2002 dt. 7th August, 2000."Further, another 1 lakh M. Tonne of onions is allowed for export through the following agencies as indicated, below: -
NAFED | 50,000 | M.Tonnes. |
MSAMB | 20,000 | M.Tonnes. |
GAIC | 15,000 | M.Tonnes. |
AP MARKFED | 5,000 | M.Tonnes. |
STCL | 5,000 | M.Tonnes. |
NCCF | 5,000 | M.Tonnes. |
These agencies shall export directly or through the Registered Exporters on the same terms and conditions as laid down in earlier
Notification No.16 (RE-2000) 1997 -2002 dt. 17th May, 2000.
The quantity of onions released shall be exported before 31st Oct., 2000,"
