Appellate authorities for de-novo consideration-reg.

It has been brought to the notice of the Department during the High Level Committee Meeting, held on 5th May 2000 that proper follow up actions are not being taken by the Custom House in respect of cases which are returned by the appellate authorities for de-novo consideration and that the affected parties have to approach the Custom House repeatedly for redressal.

In view of above, all the adjudicating authorities of the Custom House have been advised to ensure that all cases returned by the appellate authorities for de-novo consideration should be taken up for disposal at the earliest and that the relevant orders should be issued within three months from the date of receipt of the Appellate Orders.
