Sub: Execution of B-17 Bond by Eou/EPZ/STP/EHTP units Clarification of doubts – reg.

Attention of the trade, more specifically of the 100% EOU’s, CHAs andthers concerned is invited to Board’s instructions issued vide F. No. 305/39/2000 FTT dated 24.05.2000 on the subject matter.

At present, the duty for debiting bond amount in respect of capital goods, raw material is as per duty forgone amount given in the Bill of Entry AR-3 as per circular no. 76/99 dtd. 17.11.99.

Henceforth, for debiting the bond amount in case of fresh imports or procurement of capital goods only 25% of the duty foregone as mentioned in Bill of Entry/AR-3, will be taken and not the entire duty amount. Board’s Circular No. 76/99 dated 17.11.99 stands modified to the above extent.

This comes into force with immediate effect.
