Time frame for processing EDI documents in Custom House

There are already instructions regarding the time frme within which the manual Bills of Entry are to be passed/completed in this Custom House.

To further strengthen the system, to inject greater transparency and to further improve trade facilitation, the following time frame is prescribed for processing EDI documents in this Custom House.

Attention of all the Trade Members including importers and Custom House Agents is accordingly drawn to the following time-frame.

2 CMC Service Centre Submission of confirmed Check List to Noting 10 minutes
3 Appraising Groups
Documents received by Query memo/First Check Examination Order/Bill of Entry assessed on Second Check(including time taken by Auditor & Group AC/DC
11 am 3 pm
2 pm 6 pm
5.30 pm 1 pm next day
4 Licence Section Debit of Import Licence 60 minutes
5 Bank Recovery of duty 30 minutes
6 Docks Physical examination & release of import cargo To be completed on the same day as the day of presentation.
7 Docks: Registration for examination to printout of Bs/E and Out-of-Charge Order Copies/Query
