Export of E.I.Tanned Hides & Skins Freed

S.O(E) In exercise of powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.99), the Central Government hereby makes following amendments in Schedule 2, Table-B of the book titled ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Imports items, 1997-2002.

The following entry at code no.4101(b) relating to Hides and Skins may be amended under:-

4101(b)	(i) All categories of semi processed hides and skin and wet blue hides and skins and crust leather excluding E.I tanned hides and skin.	Restricted	Export permitted underlicence
	(ii) E.I tanned hides and skin.	Free	The exporter shall be required to register the export contract with the Council for Leather Exports indicating the price, quantity etc.
