Zinc ash/skimmings etc.-Import Policy specified

In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the Export and import Policy,1997-2002, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002 published on 31st March, 1997 (RE-98) as amended from time to time, namely :

2. Following new entries will be inserted at the end of appropriate Exim code:

26.201100.20	Containing Zinc less than 65% and lead and cadmium above 1.25% and 0.1% respectively	Restricted	Import permitted against a licence and only for the purpose of processing or reuse as per import Licensing Note 1 on Hazardous Waste below
79020000.20	Zinc Skimmings containing zinc greater than 65% and lead and cadmium equal to or less than 1.25% and 0.1% respectively certificate	Free	Import permitted to Units registered with Ministry of Environment and Forest,Govt. of India, on Actual User basis, up to the annual quantity limits indicated in the registration
