Sands and Soils export to Maldives permitted

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 of Export and Import Policy 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 13.4.98) the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Export and Import Policy 1997- 2002 (incorporating amendmentsmade upto 13.4.98) 

2. The following entry at S. No. 11 incorporated vide Notification No. 31 dated 12.11.98 in Part I of Chapter 16 of the Policy shall be amended as under :- 

"11. Sands and Soils except export to Maldives for a total quantity of 1,00,000 MTs of stone aggregate and 1,10,000 MTs of river sand per annum.

3. This issues in Public interest.
