Export of items Imported under SIL Permitted
S.O. (E) In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (SI. No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002.
2. The existing Paragraph 11.7 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 shall be amended to read as under: -
"Goods imported, in accordance with this Policy, may be exported in the same or substantially the same form, without a licence provided that the item to be imported or exported is not in the Negative list of Imports, except Items Imported under Special Import Licence, or Negative List of Exports. Exports of such goods imported against payment in freely convertible currency would be permitted against payment in freely convertible currency. However, if such goods are exported against payment in Indian rupees, they shall be subject to a minimum value addition of 100% provided the item to be exported is not in the Negative List of Imports, except items imported under Special Import Licence, or Negative List of Exports."
