Notification of new Agri Export Zones

In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II Section 3, Sub section (ii) vide S.O. No.283(E) dated 31.03.1997, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in Handbook (Vol 1).(RE-01), 1997-2002.

1) The following are notified as Agri Export Zones and added in the table at a Appendix 59 pertaining to “Agri Export Zone”. These zones shall cover the districts, blocks., mandals specified in the table below.

11	Cabbage, Broccoli, Okra, Peas, Carrot, Baby Corn, Green Chillies, Green Beans, Tomato	Punjab	Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Sangrur, Ludhiana and Ropar
12	Potatoes	Uttar Pradesh	Agra, Hathras, Farrukhabad, Kannoj, Meerut , Baghpat and Aligarh.
