EDI enabled ports - In case of exports through non-EDI ports, separate application shall be filed consolidating all shipments for each port

In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I (RE2007):

1. The following subpara is added at the end of Para 3.20.1, Para 3.21.1, and Para 3.22.2 of Handbook of Procedure Vol. I (RE2007):

"The above procedure shall be applicable only in respect of EDI enabled ports. However, in case of exports through non-EDI ports, separate application shall be filed consolidating all shipments for each port. Such application for non-EDI shipments shall not be treated as supplementary application even if periodicity (Apr-Sept or Oct- Mar periods) is repeated.”

2. The following subpara is added at the end of Para 3.23.3 of Handbook of Procedure Vol. I (RE2007):

"The above procedure shall be applicable only in respect of EDI enabled ports. In case of exports through non-EDI ports, the port of registration shall be the port of exports.”

3. The following subpara is added at the end of Para 3.23.4 of Handbook of Procedure Vol. I (RE2007):

"The above procedure shall be applicable only in respect of EDI enabled ports. In case of exports through non-EDI ports, the facility of splits shall not be allowed, after issue of scrip.”
