HB Vol.1 Amended - PARA. 7.38, Para 7.4, Appendix 11B, 20 B, 44In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India Extraordinary, Part-II Section 3-Sub-section (ii) vide S.O. No. 283(E) dated 31.3.1997, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following amendments in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. 1) (RE-99), 1997-2002:

Paragraph 4.19, sub-paragraph 3 shall be amended to read as follows:-
The validity of duplicate licence shall be co-terminus with the original licence and, therefore, no request shall be entertained, if the validity of the original licence has expired. However, in case DEPB or an Advance License endorsed with transferability has been lost in the custody of DGFT/Customs authorities and it is so certified by the concerned authority, in that case while issuing a duplicate DEPB/Advance License, it shall be revalidated for a period of six months from the date of issuance of duplicate DEPB/licence. In such cases, a copy of FIR will also not be insisted upon.
2.Paragraph "Agencies/Funds……. Benefits" of
Appendix 40 may be amended to read as follows:-
Agencies/Funds notified by the Government of India, Deptt. of Economic Affairs vide their Public Notice No. 1(FT)/DEA dated, 23.6.94 read with Public Notice No. 5(FT)/DEA dated 13th November, 1995 as amended by Public Notice No. 2(FT)/DEA/99 dated 14th October, 1999 and Public Notice No. 3(FT)/DEA dated 17.10.94 for the purpose of Deemed Export benefits:-
3.Sl. No. 1 of Appendix 40 may be amended to read as follows:-
"International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and International Development Association(IDA)."
