Eximkey - India Export Import Policy 2004 2013 Exim Policy

Public Notice No. 17 (RE-99)/1997-2002 dt. the 1st July,1999


In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule 2 of the book titled "ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items 1997-2002.

2. The following list as Appendix 8 shall be added in the Schedule 2 of the book titled "ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import items, 1997-2002:-

Appendix - 8

The following items shall be allowed for export against licence from the Department of Atomic Energy; Government of India:-

    (i) Uranium, its compounds and minerals / ores / concentrates containing uranium, including tailings containing uranium.

    (ii) Thorium, its compounds (including Thorium Nitrate / Oxide) and minerals/concentrates containing Thorium including monazite.

    (iii) Zirconium, its alloys and compounds and minerals / concentrates including zircon, zircon flour and zircon opacifier.

    (iv) Beryllium, its compounds and its minerals / concentrates including beryl but excluding Beryllium windows used for medical x-ray machines and gamma ray machines.

    (v) Lithium, its compounds and its minerals / concentrates, including lepidolite.

    (vi) Deuterim and its compounds.

    (vii) Plutonium, and its compounds.

    (viii) Neptunium and its compounds.

    (ix) Columbite and Tantalite.

    (x) Titanium ores and concentrates (ilmenite, rutile, leucoxene).

    (xi) Nuclear grade graphite.

    (xii) Tritium and its compounds.
