PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 6(RE-98) /1997-2002, Dt. 15/4/1998.


Subject: DEPB Scheme.

In exercise of the powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 , the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies the credit rates under DEPB scheme in respect of items as given in the Annexure to this Public Notice. The Annexure will form part of Appendix-28A of Handbook of Procedures (Vol .1) RE-98, 1997-2002 and it replaces the rates notified earlier under the DEPB scheme.

The rates given in the Annexure shall be effective from the date of the notification and will cover the exports made on or after the date of notification.

This issues in public interest.

1. The description of the export product at S. No. 37 under the product group Chemicals, in the Annexure to Public Notice No.6 (RE-98) 1997 -2002 dated 15.4.98, may be corrected to read as follows:

37 A) Injections/lntravenous infusions of bulk drugs for which specific DEPB rate have been notified.

B) Syrup/Oral suspension of bulk drugs for which specific DEPB rate have been notified.

C) Tablets/Capsules of bulk drugs for which specific DEPB rate have been notified.

Note: A) This rate is applicable only for those formulations i.e. injections/syrups/oral suspension/ tablets/capsules for which no specific DEPB rates have been notified.

B) For the above formulations of two or more bulk drugs, the DEPB rate admissible. will be 75% of the mean average of the DEPB rates of the constituent bulk drugs.
