Public Notice No.32 PN/1997-2002 dated the 13th August, 1997 6% Special Import Licence to Khadi manufacturers registered with KVIC or KVIBs
Subject: SIL to Khadi
In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.14 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-ll- Section 3- Sub-section (ii) vide S.O. No. 283(E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following amendment in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), 1997 -2002 :
The following shall be added as new paragraph 11.11A after existing paragraph 11.11:
- "11.11 A
- The manufacturing units registered with KVIC or KVIBs shall be granted Special Import Licence @ 6% of the FOB value of exports directly made by them with effect from 15th August, 1997. Such units may file their application for grant Special Import Licence in the form given in Appendix 20B against export proceeds realised on six monthly basis (i.e. during April-September and October-March) within a period of six months from the end of such six monthly period. However, the first such application shall be filed against export proceeds realised during the period from 15th August, 97 to 31st March, 1998.
Note: KVIC stands for Khadi and Village Industries Commision 'Gramodaya, Vile Parle, Mumbai and KVIBs stands for Khadi and Village Industries Board of the State Government."
