Submission of original documents under more than one scheme -Clarification on


Sub: Clarification regarding furnishing of Documents along with applications of Special Import Licences.

Attention is invited to Paragraph 11.11 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) and Appendix 20-B of Handbook of Procedures (Vol. 1). As per the documents prescribed in this Appendix 20-B, an applicant has to submit EP copy of the Shipping Bill (in original) and Bank Certificate of Exports as given in Appendix 25 (in original).

2. Several representations have been received in this office regarding problems being faced by eligible exporters in submitting these documents (in original) as these documents (in original) are also required to be submitted for other claims also under other schemes, such as the DEPB Scheme or the Advance Licensing Scheme.

3. In view of this it is clarified that wherever the exporter is required to submit original documents to the Regional Licensing Authority, under more than one schemes, it may submit these original documents under one scheme and submit the self- certified photo copy of these documents in another section of the same Regional Licensing Authority. While submitting the self-certified photocopy, the applicant should indicate the File No. in which the original documents have been submitted so that the Regional Licensing Authority can verify the same.

This issues with the approval of DGFT.
