Exchange rate for export/import goods under Customs Act

Subject:- Rate of exchange of foreign currency in terms of Section 14, Sub- section (3) of Custom Act, 1962 (52 of 1962).

Attention is invited to this Office Circular No. 63/92-97 dated the 13th December 1995 on the above subject.

Copies of Notification No. 17/97-NT-Customs and No. 18/97-NT-Customs both dated the 21st May, 1997¹, No. 20/97-NT- Customs and No. 21/97-NT-Customs both dated the 27th May, 1997¹,No. 24/97 -NT -Customs and No. 25/97 -NT -Customs both dated the 25th June, 1997² issued by Ministry of Finance (Deptt. of Revenue), Central Board of Excise and Customs giving the rate of exchange for conversion into Indian Rupees from the 21st May 1997 for the purpose of Section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) are forwarded herewith for information and necessary action. -
