ZJDGFT CIRCULAR NO.03/2002, Dt. 19/06/2002
Clarification regarding issue of DEPB/Advance License/Status Certificate
1) The declaration as per Trade Notice No.19 dated 25/2/1999 is not required for issue of DEPB as the same is covered under Declaration/Undertaking of application.
2) In case of electronically filed applications for DEPB/Advance License, it is not required to call for complete set of manual application as per
Appendix-10C/
Appendix-10B. Only Declaration/Undertaking as per Appendix 10-C and 10-B respectively may be called for until necessary changes are made in the software.
3) Since T.T. Buying rate is dispensed with in the new Policy, the endorsement pertaining to the same need not be insisted upon.
4) For issue of Advance License the requirement of Export Order has been dispensed with.
5) In case of issuance of Status Certificate, no additional documents should be insisted upon other than the required documents shown in the footnote of
Appendix-17.
6) Under para 3.7.2 of Exim Policy, if the applicant is claiming status certificate against exports by units in Tiny Sector/Cottage Sector/Small Scale sector declaration regarding exports made in each of the preceding three years by the concerned unit as a Tiny/Cottage/Small sector unit and registration certificate with any Government/local Government authority for the period may be accepted.
7) In case of Status Holders, Enrolment number needs not to be called for. However in case of firms other than Status Holders, if applications are filed electronically for same day disposal, the applicant is required to furnish Enrolment Certificate. For applications filed manually viz. Advance License/DEPB, the requirement of Enrolment number has been dispensed with.
