Notification No. 01/2003-IATT Date 08/10/2003

This notification amend the notification No. 2/2001-IATT, dated 19th April, 2002 and exempt sky marshals travelling on free ticket issued by other domestic private airlines alongwith Indian Airlines from payment of IATT.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Finance Act, 1989 (13 of 1989), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary and expedient so to do, having regard to purpose of anti hijacking of aircrafts, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 2/2001-IATT, dated the 19th April, 2001 [ G.S.R. 265(E), dated the 19th April, 2001], namely:-

In the said notification, for the words “Indian Airlines”, the words “ Indian Airlines or any domestic private Airline ” shall be substituted.
