Amend the FTT Rules, 1979 to reduce the rate of collection charges from one percent to one third of percent.
G.S.R. 583 (E). In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Finance Act, 1979 (21 of 1979), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Foreign Travel Tax Rules, 1979, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Foreign Travel Tax (Amendment) Rules, 1989.

(2) they shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Foreign Travel Tax Rules, 1979 :-

In rule 6, for the words “ at the rate of one per cent”, the words “ at the rate of one-third per cent. “ shall be substituted.
