Notify seven countries as neighbouring countries for the purpose of Charging lesser rate of foreign travel tax
G.S.R. 356(E). In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 35 of the Finance Act, 1979 (21 of 1979), the Central Government, having regard to the circumstances mentioned in the said sub-section and the fare payable for international journeys by passengers between India and certain foreign countries, hereby specifies the following countries as the neighbouring countries for the purposes of the said sub section, namely:-

(a) Afghanistan

(b) Bangladesh

(c) Bhutan

(d) Burma

(e) Nepal

(f) Pakistan

(g) Sri Lanka

(h) The Mal Dives
